Bug on the lift
Between the mogul-like ice cover and the cavernous potholes every six feet on the streets in Madison this winter, the suspension on my poor Bug took a beating. While there is nothing technically broken, the following litany of parts needs to be replaced: Sway bar bushings ($230), Tie rods and alignment ($500), Strut bearings ($400) rear brake rotors ($350) and under-engine shields are missing. Nothing like a $1500 winter to make spring welcome.
